All India Forgotten Women (AIFW) was launched in the year 2005 in response to the large-scale arrests of women falsely accused under IPC Section 498A.

The organization was formally registered in the year 2008 with the goal of providing a voice to all the women who have been victimized by the very laws that claim to protect them.

We fight against misuse of all protections and privileges granted to women, including IPC Section 498A, Domestic Violence Act, adultery laws, laws against rape and sexual harassment and family laws (divorce, maintenance and child custody).

We organize seminars, protests and awareness campaigns to highlight how discriminatory laws claiming to empower and protect women are serving as weapons that promote family destruction and perpetrate large scale human rights abuses against men, women and children.

We make representations to Government authorities with our recommendations, suggestions and demands regarding the changes we seek to ensure that true gender equality is restored in the society.

We counsel families that have been victimized because of misuse of women-protection laws.
